Maps and geodata products
In recent years COWI has mapped Denmark and produced national maps and geodata-products such as orthophotos and 3D city models.
Maps and geodata products such as orthophotos, height models, 3D urban models and cartographic maps provide a comprehensive overview and have multiple applications.
Public authorities find that digital aerial photographs are a valuable aid for handling cases and, as such, help to improve communication between public administration, civil servants and citizens.
Range of maps and geodata products
COWI’s cartography staff have many years of experience of producing and using maps and geodata products.
Our aim is to promote the use of maps and geodata by public authorities, private companies and private citizens.
Versatility
Most commonly, our standard maps are combined with the client’s own information from sources such as statistical data or environmental or utility data.
COWI’s maps and geodata products were used as breakers in Ørnen, a popular DR television drama series, and to provide the cartographic background for the websites of, amongst others, the Bornholm Region and the Danish estate agents, Home.
