RSS - What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a way of being kept up-to-date with the information we publish without having to visit our website every day. In other words, the information is fed to you rather your having to seek it out.

RSS feeds are read using a feed reader. Modern web browsers such as Firefox, Safari and the most recent edition of Internet Explorer have built-in feed readers but you can also download your own. There are many different readers available for different operating systems - search the web for "feed reader" to find the right one for you.

How do I subscribe to a feed?

Simply click the RSS logo when you find it in the top right-hand corner of a COWI web page. You will be prompted to subscribe to a feed of information relating to that page. For example, if you click on the RSS logo on our job vacancies page, you will be fed details of all new jobs as they are published on the site. Or if you clicked on the RSS logo on the news page for Transport, you will be fed all news stories we publish about Transport.

Help! I've clicked on the RSS button but only see something like this:

www.cowi.com, Nature

COWI Homepage,Nature

You are using a browser that does not support RSS feeds. Download a browser that supports feeds, or get a feed reader.

How do I unsubscribe from a feed?

Both browser-based feed readers and standalone feed readers will have their own way of unsubscribing to feeds. See the help section of your chosen feed reader.

What feeds are available on COWI's website?

Currently, we produce feeds relating to:
News
Jobs

The feeds are in a test phase so bear with us if things do not work quite as you expect. We would be grateful if you could let us know about any problems you might experience with the feeds by sending an email to cowi@cowi.com.
