Safety organisation

Many countries have laws on the working environment which impose enterprises to organise OHS work through a safety organisation. COWI offers assistance in the establishment and development of safety organisations.
More and more enterprises turn legal requirements into something positive. They organise and implement OHS work in a way that suits the operational organisation and which gives a good return on OHS investments.

Establishment and development

COWI advises on how an effective safety organisation is established and how an existing safety organisation can be developed so that its work becomes more preventive, systematic and holistic-orientated.

We train members of safety organisations at all levels – from the safety group via the safety committee to the daily manager of the safety work – so they are better equipped to manage OHS issues.

Results through cooperation

We stress the importance of creating a good collaborative climate in the safety organisation, so that the resources are used constructively to ensure safe and healthy work places.

To embed the OHS work and promote knowledge sharing in the organisation we also assist in establishing a cooperation between the safety organisation and other functions or persons in the enterprise such as the personnel department, cooperation committee, engineers or tradesmen.

COWI also provides consultancy services on how the enterprise and safety organisation, through cooperation with external stakeholders, such as authorities, educational institutions, organisations, other consultants, suppliers, etc. can promote the development of the enterprise.
