Environmental noise 

The public awareness of noise and annoyance has increased in recent years. COWI has a comprehensive knowledge and experience in management and control of ambient noise from all kinds of sources.
At the EU level, new initiatives and directives put focus on reducing noise and the number of people exposed to its effects. They also focus on protecting areas in which noise quality is already good, in so-called quiet areas.
 
COWI provides consultancy services within the fields of noise and acoustics. Our services range from strategic noise mapping, infrastructure and transport noise, assessment of noise and action planning to acoustical design in buildings and industry.
