Water supply planning
The planning of water supplies is the result of cooperation and interaction between water utility companies and local and regional authorities. COWI's extensive knowledge and cross disciplinary approach ensures holistic and coherent solutions in planning.
Sensible utilization and protection of groundwater, combined with economic evaluations are essential elements in the planning and decision making process.
Should protective measures be implemented, should there be agreements on cultivation or should contaminant clean-up measures be initiated in the groundwater catchment area? COWI's water experts can help in answering these and many other questions.
Priorities, monitoring and routine evaluation
In our consultancy services, we believe that the identification of priorities of actions and resource allocation should naturally be included at an early stage in planning.
At the same time, a well considered monitoring and routine evaluation of abstraction sites and catchment areas can, when combined with abstraction data, result in large savings in expenditure.
COWI's consultancy services ensure that the correct measures are planned and implemented on time.
COWI's consulting services include
Utilization and protection of the groundwater resource
Wells, abstraction sites and abstraction strategies
Action and implementation plans
Monitoring and follow-up
Condition and risk assessment and contingency plans
Technical and economic evaluations
Water supply cooperation and mergers.
