New projects in Latvia
COWI is busy in Latvia. Good experience with previous projects has helped land three new assignments.
Only nine months after COWI commenced work on four major assignments in Latvia, the firm of consultants has been awarded a further three projects. The new assignments are all in environment and project management.
"COWI has become quite well known in Latvia as the result of our involvement in a growing number of successful projects in the country,” explains Jacob Ulrich, project manager and acting office manager with COWI Latvia.
He adds that Denmark and Latvia are very similar in many ways. The Danish and Latvian mentality is very close, and in work situations it is easy to work together and understand one another.
Known for good projects
"We have established good contacts with our partners and in this context the relatively similar temperaments between the two nationalities also play a role. Danes and Latvians usually get along amiably and work well together,” says Jacob Ulrich.
COWI has extensive experience in environment and other areas in Eastern Europe, and the three new projects will give the company an even stronger foothold in the Latvian market.
