The presentation took place on the session: "Intelligent Transport and Infrastructure - an Innovative key to Future Growth and Prosperity" and was concluded with the launch of a report with the same name, edited by COWI.
COWI has been a leading partner in The Baltic Development Forum Round Table, established in 2002, and formed by business executives from a large number of private companies - industries, shippers and operators - and organisations in the Baltic Sea Region. More than 70 business leaders have participated in the work in a three year period.The mandate is to discuss the private sector priorities for development of the transport sector and infrastructure in the Baltic Sea Region, and during the years 2003-2005 two rounds of altogether seven inspiring and fruitful round table meetings have been held at various locations around the Baltic Sea. The result of the first round was presented at the Baltic Development Forum Summit in Riga in October 2003 with the report "Challenges for the transport infrastructure of the Baltic Sea Region", which was also edited by COWI.
