Danida Fellowship Centre courses targeting the private sector

The Danida Fellowship Centre has appointed COWI to design and implement three courses targeting the private sector in developing countries.
COWI has considerable experience in developing training programmes for the Danida Fellowship Centre within different fields for a variety of professionals, but this is the first time COWI will be carrying out courses for the private sector.

The target groups of the three courses are business owners, entrepreneurs and senior management from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries.

The courses will take place in November 2008 and can accommodate up to 20 participants per course. The themes of the three courses are:

  • Export-oriented SMEs
  • SMEs within productive industries and services
  • Occupational health and safety

The participants will be introduced to systematic training in relevant aspects related to the three themes as well as relating and adapting training contents to their own home situations through the development of business plans.

The courses also provide rich opportunities for creating a network of colleagues and counterparts around the world.
