Two new Directors appointed in COWI Denmark 

Stig P. Christensen, Vice President for Economics and Management in COWI, will be the new Development Director of COWI Denmark as if 1st April 2008. Knud Erik Christensen will take over as the new Vice President for Economics and Management.

Stig P. Christensen will be responsibile for multidisciplinary developments such as climate and health, which are a priority of COWI's Danish strategy, and where the company wishes establish a stronger position.

Flair for Development

"During his years at COWI, Stig P. Christensen has shown through his work developing subsidiaries in East Europe that he has the capabilities of developing cross networks within the organisation. He is, therefore, the right person to lead the many important strategic development projects in COWI Denmark," says Lars-Peter Søbye, Executive Vice President.

Great Potential

Knud Erik Christensen will be the new Director for Economics and Management. He has a degree as a Cand. Agro with economy as his special subject and has headed COWI's International Department for Roads, Airports and Container Terminals since November 2004, where he was responsible for sales, production and HR.

"Knud Erik Christensen has worked in many different areas of COWI and is will be able to release the potential which lies within our Economics Division," says Lars-Peter Søbye.

Knud Erik Christensen has previously worked as a researcher in international economics, as an Economist for the UN's regional head office for Asia, for six years as a principal in the Foreign Office, and two years as a diplomat in the Danish embassy in Hanoi.
