A growing market

The Avenues will be a significant addition to the retail market in Oman in terms of size. COWI carried out the pre-contract design which included architectural, structural, MEP and fire engineering design, and now COWI is now engaged in the post contract supervision. Currently there is a lot of investment in the retail market in Oman, and COWI & Partners are involved in a number of ongoing retail projects.

“There is definitely a high potential for projects like this in Oman. A few more malls are already in the pipeline, and COWI is already involved in extension of two other malls, namely the Muscat City Centre and the Qurum City Centre,” says Maneparambil.
