Voted leading consultant by Berlingske Guld Image 2014

​Image surveys are in season and the most recent is Danish Berlingske Guld Image 2014. As number 27, COWI has achieved its best ranking ever.

COWI advances 11 places compared to last year, overtaking all consulting companies – from accountants and lawyers to engineers. Taking 27th place overall and first place among consulting companies, COWI achieves its best ranking ever. In addition, COWI comes in a good 12th place in terms of employee image.

Regional Vice President of COWI Denmark, Jens Christoffersen, is proud of the results:

“You can’t help but smile when studying the survey. The results clearly speak for themselves. I’m particularly pleased with our ranking in terms of employees. The survey indicates that we’re considered one of the best in both the industry and in Denmark. We apply our expert knowledge to the benefit of society, and that doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Thought leadership

COWI assumes the role as thought leader by communicating expert knowledge to customers and partners. According to Jens Christoffersen, thought leadership is a key aspect in the race to raise image awareness among decision-makers.

“Our focus on thought leadership is one of the reasons why we’re among the leading consulting companies. We apply our knowledge when we join in public debates. For instance, this past Sunday, a feature by COWI experts Michael Knørr Skov and Karsten Sten Pedersen was published in Politiken, elaborating on the link between road infrastructure and gross national product. Having one of the best images is a big deal since this could be the parameter that leads to a new employee or customer choosing us. It might come as a surprise, but these indirect parameters actually make a big difference for us.”

On the results of the image survey, COWI’s COO, Rasmus Ødum, says:

"To sum up, the companies that did the best are typically large companies with global range, delivering good results. That includes companies like us, which are based on strong knowledge and which work determinedly to implement their global strategies. And companies that are able to raise awareness about their results, their solutions and not least the difference they make in society. COWI Denmark has really succeeded in doing so and our international activities may take inspiration from this.”

Ødum also emphasises the importance of contributing actively to debates and the solution of major world-wide topics within COWI’s range of activities. He is highly impressed with COWI’s results and visibility in Denmark, and believes that Berlingske Guld clearly presents COWI as a strong, credible and competent partner.
