To improve livelihood in the countryside, 100 dams are planned to be built across Zambia. COWI is using drones for measurements of locations – more accurate and at double speed compared with traditional methods.

  • COWI is the appointed consultant and responsible for the design.
  • The project is financed by World Bank and African Development Bank.
  • The project is currently planned to run for three years and includes up to 100 damps in 10 provinces.
  • Each dam is up to 15 meters high and each will store water for local rural communities for irrigation and water supply.
