For Copenhagen Airports, COWI carried out an analysis of the accessibility of landside traffic to the airport.
BenchmarkingThe project benchmarked Copenhagen Airport (CPH) against seven airports in Northern Europe, including Hamburg and Stockholm. The analysis included cars as well as public transport.

The airports were benchmarked according to the number of people and which level of total public income (GDP) was achieved within different travel time bands.

Transport modelJourney times by car were calculated by means of a network-based route choice transport model. Public travelling times were extracted from international timetables on the Internet.

Competitive measuresCopenhagen Airports wanted to profile itself against airline carriers which consider operating in Copenhagen, and the analysis provided the tools to select competitive measures.
