EXPO 2005 in Japan - The Nordic Pavilion
EXPO 2005 takes place in the Japanese city of Aichi, and this time the five Nordic countries - Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland - have decided to collaborate and open a joint exhibition under the heading "Oasis in the North".
The Nordic way of life
The exhibition will explore how the Nordic countries can maintain an individual identity in a time of globalization and at the same time contribute to and shape this development. How can the Nordic way of life and the values it represents influence 21st century lifestyles?
Bysted A/S together with COWI and our Japanese partner, P.T. Morimura & Associates, have been responsible for conceptual and detailed design as well as tender documents for the pavilion. The teamwork with Bysted is the result of a successful collaboration on EXPO 2000 in Hannover.
