The organisation is an industrial and commercial fund founded in 1994 by the City of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg Municipality and the counties of Copenhagen, Frederiksborg and Roskilde (the Greater Copenhagen Authority).Throughout the years, COWI has assisted Copenhagen Capacity with technical insight and knowhow in situations where foreign approaches have become specific. It concerns major biotechnical and pharmaceutical companies and companies manufacturing other advanced products or using high-tech processes.COWI has assisted Copenhagen Capacity and the Greater Copenhagen Authority in developing Copenhagen Locations, an interactive website addressing foreign companies that are considering a potential location in the region.The website illustrates the many opportunities in the region by displaying an extract of representative sites as well as industrial space and office space.
