Institutional support to main rural roads, Benin 

In order to achieve sustainable rehabilitation and maintenance of the core rural roads in Zou region, the assignment consisted in producing a feasibility report, providing the background and rationale for supporting or rejecting a project proposal, and outlining the required input by Danida and the Benin Government.

Appraisal and evaluation

COWI's services included an appraisal of the proposals for selection and rehabilitation of main rural roads in the Zou region, and an evaluation of the institutional framework for maintaining the rehabilitated roads.

Component description

Furthermore, COWI was in charge of preparing a component description under the Benin Road Sector Programme Support for consideration by Danida as well as Terms of Reference for process assistance to core rural roads funded by the institutional support component.
