Since 2003 we have developing our 3D competences and international we have in recent years been awarded a number of prestigious 3D projects in Dubai, Geneva and Monaco.

3D city modellingCOWI has extensive know-how, experience and capacity to generate 3D city models by photogrammetric means. From stereo aerial images and – if available – 2D building footprints from the cadastre, we create highly accurate 3D city models for professional use in Geographic Information Systems and relational databases.

COWI applies automatic texturing tools to provide photo-realistic 3D city models for visualization and simulation purposes. By using a state-of-the-art five camera oblique system COWI is able to collect massive amounts of oblique photos from four directions as well as vertical images. The images captured have a pixel resolution down to 7cm and are used for the automatic texturing of 3D city models and within 2D web-applications.
