COWI's GIS consultants work with all GIS platforms present on the Danish market and have many years of experience in providing solutions for GIS related problems.

Furthermore, we are trained to collaborate with COWI's other business units, which possess specialist knowledge of different disciplines.

Thereby, we provide our customers with results based on both GIS and discipline specific knowledge.

We carry out GIS analyses for our customers and, e.g., come up with optimum locations for new stores or institutions, and solve complex route planning problems.

We are also able to build the customers' competences to perform the relevant analyses.

In dialogue with the customer, we determine the strategy for the application of GIS and IT. On this basis, together with the customer, we prepare action plans for one or several areas that again may evolve into specific GIS and IT projects.

We participate in all project phases
COWI offers to develop the identified IT solution or act as the client's consultant throughout the process from preliminary analysis, requirement specification, tendering and contract management during implementation and any outsourcing of operation.

During the implementation phase, we can also contribute with, e.g., system tests, data conversion and training.

COWI does not have to be involved in all of the project's phases, but we can enter the process exactly when the customer needs us to.
