If the planned amount of renewable energy is to be integrated into the existing grid, new solutions have to be developed. One of them is smart grids.

COWI is working with smart grid in both planning as well as in development. Soon, COWI will also be working on the first large-scale implementation projects.

When making long-term energy plans, all future aspects must be considered. The proper use of smart grid technology is always thought in when COWI is doing the planning.

COWI is assisting several industries, municipalities and utilities in becoming the first large-scale demonstration of smart grid technology. COWI is adding value to these projects both by overseeing the energy sector as a whole as well as being able to offer detailed electrical design.
