Wind energy projects since 1980

COWI has been involved in wind energy projects since 1980 and has participated in projects with a total installed capacity of several thousand MW. Our projects include large wind-turbine factories as well as stand-alone wind-turbines and combined wind-diesel systems.

COWI Wind expands into North America 

COWI Wind expands our international presence by opening
a dedicated wind energy consulting office at Ocean and
Coastal Consultants (OCC) in Trumbull, CT, USA. The new
expansion will strengthen COWI's position within wind energy
consulting in North America, onshore as well as offshore.

The COWI Group has several offices in the US and Canada
specialised within maritime and structural engineering, and
COWI Wind has numerous ongoing wind projects in the US.
It has thus been a natural step to launch COWI Wind North
America. The raison d'être for this strategic decision is the
need to be able to provide state of the art expertise and
experience in a local context. COWI Wind has been providing
services for the wind industry since 1980 and has already in
its portfolio onshore and offshore projects in more than 55
countries. We are involved in some of the largest projects
in the world onshore and offshore, and we offer the complete
service package onshore and offshore.
