Conceptual DesignAn important issue is to identify the best and most cost effective power supply concept, which meets the requirements of application, both regarding capacity and back-up facilities, i.e. resilience regarding failure of public grid and/or key equipment.
Detailed DesignCOWI covers all installations from 10 kV transformer substations, through main switchboards, motor control centre, cabling/bus bar installations, up to the actual end consumers.
The jobs mentioned above include performing short circuit calculations, load flow calculations and discrimination studies to vary the correct sizing of equipment and installations.
Coordination with other engineering disciplines and equipment suppliers are natural activities integrated in the services provided with the aim to optimise the installations both with regard to cost effectiveness and energy saving aspects.
COWI's team of engineers are very experienced with both new projects and upgrading or extending existing facilities.
Site ManagementCOWI has a team of experienced site managers and site supervision engineers assigned for the actual implementation phase of the project.
COWI will carry out regular supervision of works on site, witness factory acceptance tests, plan and witness site acceptance tests and commissioning of works up to handing over for operation.
