Danish address and road database

Danish Address and Road Database (DAV) is a data product containing information about the road network.
DAV is the first Danish product that makes it possible to get a national, geographic description of the road network with a wide range of information related to the roads.

COWI uses DAV in marketing analyses, for routing solutions, as site selection on the Internet and as basis data for other map products.

DAV can be used for:

Localization

In order to create an overview over target groups or retail stores, DAV can be combined with a basic map and demographic data in a GIS system.

Route planning

For planning a route, you can use a route planning system combined with DAV to get the fastest or shortest route between two destinations.

Geomarketing

Geomarketing is visualization of for instance the geographic location of potential target groups before implementing marketing campaigns.
With geomarketing, you can obtain the largest possible effect with the available marketing budget.
