COWI offers services for education in a changing world

COWI engages with partners in development contexts, to make educational processes more meaningful, through support to NGOs and networks, government departments, and through engagement with policy processes. We work to support primary and basic education, technical and vocational training and professional education.

Capacity building for the education sector

Equity and universality of access to education are written into the Millennium Development Goals. COWI provides technical assistance to governments in formulation and evaluation of education sector programmes.

Education, communication and sustainability

2005 is the start of the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, which offers a framework for action in relation to sustainability, education systems and lifelong learning. COWI works to enhance teaching and learning processes, and to develop communication capacity in a range of sectors including water and sanitation, energy, health and agriculture.
We also work to enhance the awareness of environmental issues and the capacity of decision-makers and implementers in public administration.
