Gender mainstreaming 

We offer services in gender mainstreaming of sector programmes and policies, as well as activities focused directly on strengthening the opportunities of women and men, girls and boys. Our staff include leading international specialists in gender analysis and gender impact assessment in many sectors, including natural resources management, water supply and sanitation, health, education, energy, transport and roads.

Rights-based approach for gender and equity

Increasingly, a rights-based perspective is applied in our approach. We offer training for multi- and bilateral agencies and NGOs, focused on specific sectors and/or poverty reduction. We focus on practical application of gender analysis, based on an appropriate conceptual framework.

COWI offers services in:

• Empowerment of vulnerable and marginalised groups, including women, children, ethnic groups, refugees and displaced people.
• Gender analyses, stakeholder analysis, social and beneficiary assessments, qualitative and participatory approaches.
