Solutions that work
COWI has for many years - in Denmark and also in an EU and Eastern European context - worked closely with central government agencies as well as regional and local authorities in the area of social development. We have thus acquired much experience in identifying useful solutions within the areas of integration of immigrants and refugees in the labour market, legal rights and labour market issues for marginalised groups, and support for senior citizens.
Social development in a global context
In a global context, civil society is a decisive factor for achieving sustainable development. COWI works with capacity building of civil society organisations to support their participation in democratisation, advocacy and stewardship processes. COWI is providing the following services to strengthen social inclusion, active civil involvement, and public-private partnership:

- Support to civil society and NGO advocacy
- Culture and media development
Capacity building, HRD, and training
We offer a broad range of services in capacity development, including organisational strengthening, team building, and organisational learning. We assist private and public institutions in developing HRD strategies and custom build training courses in management, administration and technical fields.
