Land registration and legal verification 

In Latin America, COWI has carried out several projects in relation to property registration and legal verification. The services provided included comprehensive management of large scale data collection, production and verification processes.

As a consequence of our comprehensive experiences, we are able to manage and control the entire chain of production.

The services within this field include:

• Production of base maps such as orthophoto and technical maps based on aerial photography or satellite imagery. 
• Physical land and property registration in the field using modern GPS equipment. 
• Production of parcel index maps based on digital methods. 
• Legal verification and updating of land title register based on review of existing records and field interviews. 
• Establishment of Land Information System (LIS) linking the digital cadastre maps with the land title data, and other relevant data.
