Transparent and consistent economic assessments of policies, services and projects are increasingly gaining importance as part of decision-support processes in the public and private sectors.
ExternalitiesCOWI assesses, describes and includes expected changes in behavioural patterns (e.g. demand changes), their direct economic effects, as well as socalled external effects. It is often extremely important to include and value external effects (e.g. life and health effects) in assessments of activities and projects which influence the lives and welfare of people.
State-of-the-art methodsWe have developed specific methods to assess external costs and benefits linked to e.g. the transport and environmental sectors. In order to stay at the forefront and be able to provide our customers with the most recent knowledge, we regularly take part in European research projects.
We carry out economic assessments of projects, changes in service levels and structures in the welfare sectors for public utilities and for customers in Denmark and abroad in the transport, energy and environmental sectors, including climate projects.
