Health economics services

Using a broad range of data sources in combination with our analytical competences, COWI offers effective documentation of medical need, burden of illness to patients and society, and opportunities for care improvement.

Medical need and burden of illness

COWI's consultants are experienced in:

  • Thorough reviews of clinical and health economic literature
  • Quantitative research, including the development of survey instruments and collection of survey data from patients or register-based data
  • Qualitative research, using individual and focus group interviews.

Prospective designs

COWI provides design, protocol writing, data analysis and report writing of prospective pharmacoeconomic analyses. These types of analyses are typical for clinical phase III studies, where resource use data are collected as an integrated part of clinical trials.

Modelled analyses and adaption of international pharmacoeconomic analyses

COWI provides design, data analysis and report writing for using modelled pharmacoeconomic analysis based on existing clinical data, data from systematic reviews, meta-analyses or expert advice. We adapt generic health economic models to country-specific models and analyses as required by national health authorities.
