Health economics

When launching and marketing pharmaceuticals, biologicals, new treatments, interventions and devices, it is essential to provide comprehensive justification of the cost to the health care payers and to demonstrate value for money.

COWI works intensively with all aspects of health care sector organisation and economic management. Our first-hand insight into administrative and clinical decision-making in especially the Nordic countries enables us to provide targeted consultancy on how to document the value of products to national and regional health care decision-makers.

Using a broad range of data sources in combination with our analytical competences, COWI offers effective documentation of medical need, burden of illness to patients and society, and opportunities for care improvement.

We assess the cost-effectiveness and affordability of pharmaceuticals, biologicals, new treatments, interventions and devices to society and/or the health care sector and tailor-make solutions for our clients. We assist our clients on advisory basis regarding value demonstration strategy, design and communication with national and local players.
