COWI designs pavements that meet the requirements of each specific load condition. We combine state-of-the-art methodology and expertise to reach sustainable and cost-effective solutions. At the same time we are dedicated to available technology and materials, always observing environmental requirements.

Paved areas may be subjected to a wide variety of loads. From rubber-tired vehicles, moving at high to moderate speeds, over forklifts with solid wheels of high stiffness and on to stationary loads in the shape of parked vehicles or stacked containers.
