After the fall of the Berlin Wall, COWI was among the first consultancy firms to recognise the potential in Central and Eastern Europe.

Since 1990, we have participated in nearly 2000 projects. From planning highways and airports to developing environmental legislation and regional trade, COWI has been part of the change.

Climate change has taken a place at the top of the global agenda, and COWI is an active player in working to safeguard the climate for future generations.

COWI participated in the University of Copenhagen’s congress on climate change in March 2009 and has published interviews, features, background and news items about the congress and its issues.
