COWI's climate strategy aims to reduce the environmental impact of COWI's own activities and projects. It also aims to make it easier for employees to voluntarily reduce their own impact on the climate and to work closely together with customers to develop the most climate friendly solutions possible.

Caring for the Climate
COWI's engagement to help solve the climate problems of the future is emphasised in our commitment to UN's climate initiative "Caring for the Climate", which we signed in 2009. By signing the Caring for the Climate we commit to:

• Take practical actions to reduce energy usage.
• To build strategies that minimise risk and identify opportunities.
• Engage with government and civil society to enable a framework for the business sector to contribute to build a low carbon economy.
• Work to set standards that reduce climate risks.
• Become an active business champion for climate change initiatives among stakeholders.
