COWI’s acquisition of Arkitema approved by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority

The Danish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved COWI's acquisition of Arkitema – just one month after submission of application.

The swift approval means that COWI and Arkitema kicks off the new year as one company:

“I’m so pleased that we’ve already received official approval. That means that we can offer our customers integrated consultancy right from the beginning of 2019. Something we’re really looking forward to,” says Lars-Peter Søbye, CEO of COWI.

With the acquisition, COWI will number around 7,250 employees, of which Arkitema contributes around 550. Arkitema will be a separate COWI business unit, keep its name and remain in its existing office premises.
