Ukraine and its many international partners are committed to a program of recovery of Ukraine, which will become the largest reconstruction project since the World War II. COWI will contribute to this program knowing that the task is challenging and ultimately about building back better – and greener.
The Government of Ukraine has put forward objectives, guiding principles and implementation approach for the program of recovery of Ukraine. Ukraine has done so in their National Recovery Plan, which was presented in a blueprint in July 2022. We may contribute to the achievement of established objectives.
COWI is an international consultancy company with its headquarters in Denmark. It was founded in 1930. Today, we are about 8,000 employees, mainly engineers, but also economists, lawyers, social scientists, IT specialists and architects. We provide services within the three E’s (Engineering, Environment and Economics). Focus areas are Energy, Water, Waste, Bridges, Roads, Rails and Buildings.
We have been working in Ukraine since 1991. Today, we have ongoing projects in the country financed by Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Danish Sustainable Infrastructure Finance, EIB and KfW. We have an extensive network in Ukraine totaling more than 300 experts.
