Hospitals Solutions

The new Køge University Hospital will provide emergency facilities for 290,000 residents of Køge near Copenhagen and the surrounding area. All specialised treatment for Region Zealand will be brought together in the new hospital, which will also serve as a hub for research and training activities in the region.

The super-hospital trebles the area of the existing Køge Hospital to a total of 190,000 m². The building will have a compact design to create less corridor space and shorter distances for the staff to walk. This will allow it to be extended later with new wings in all directions.

Courtyard gardens with plenty of daylight and green roofs are key elements of the new building, in which all wards will have views of the countryside to the west or over Køge Bay.
