The Capital Region of Denmark, Rigshospitalet and Ole Kirk’s Foundation have joined forces in a partnership to build a new public hospital that sets new standards for the treatment of children, adolescents, pregnant women and their families.

The hospital will have a distinctive characteristic; a building shaped as two hands, gathering all children, adolescents and women in labour under one roof while taking care of the whole family.

The hospital will cover an area of 58.000 m², 179 beds and 56 ambulatory rooms for children and adolescents as well as 43 beds and 30 ambulatory rooms for adults.
