New biofuelled boiler will cover future demand for heating in a more environmentally friendly way

To cover future demand for heating in a more environmentally friendly way, Alingsås Energi has added an additional biofuelled boiler to the Sävelundsverket facility. COWI designed the boiler housing for the new heating facility.

In addition to the new boiler, the Sävelundsverket facility has two solid fuel boilers, one oil/bio-oil-fuelled boiler and one landfill gas boiler.
The fuel is solid biofuel, mainly wood chips and clean wood fuel from sawmills and the forestry industry.
