A new processing facility and terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Port of Gothenburg will enable the quay to be used more efficiently, as tankers will be able to load and unload while taking on LNG.
The EU has given the project ‘PCI’ status, which means it is one of the top-priority infrastructure projects in Europe.
LNG is the cleanest of the available marine fuels, and the shipping industry has a great need to reduce emissions.
COWI has contributed with a number of environmental services, including documentation to support a permit application, and an environmental impact assessment.
