The new Bridge is set to become a new landmark

The new Hising Bridge in central Gothenburg is a new landmark, contributing to the development of the city centre on both sides of the River Göta. The Hising Bridge is a vertical-lift bridge with a 440-metre section over the water and a lift span that is 48 metres wide. The bridge has two connecting ramps and one connecting public transport bridge for trams and buses. Buildings on both sides of the river will directly connect to the bridge, offering the possibility to step directly from the building onto the bridge, which was designed with ample pedestrian and cycling paths, as well as balconies where pedestrians can stop and enjoy the view.
