Accident portal – an online tool to analyse road accidents

The accident portal is an online tool which helps Danish municipalities to gain an overview of traffic accidents reported to the police on roads in the municipality.

The portal provides easy access to historic traffic accidents and offers a number of analyses, so the individual municipality can quickly and easily draw up an annual report for one or more years.

The tools in the portal also allow users to produce their own graphs based on the dataset for road accidents in order to identify trends in the accident profile in their municipality – knowledge that can be used to imcrease road safety.

A knowledge base provides information and good tips on road safety taken from the ‘rules of the road’, executive orders and historical material from the profession, and people can ask questions about road safety via the portal.
