breaking new ground within aerial images

The Hexagon Image Program (HxIP) acquires complete coverage of high-resolution aerial images of Europe and the USA. COWI is a partner providing European data.

The project utilises the most advanced sensors and data automation and processing technologies to create the seamless 30 cm resolution orthophoto and elevation data, as well as a Digital Surface Model (DSM) with 80 cm resolution.

Compared to traditional satellite imagery for professional use, HxIP is a new proven solution that has brought radical improvements to the aerial imagery industry because of its high geometric accuracy, radiometric consistency and its ability to capture images in areas with difficult weather conditions.

The resulting images are integrated into mobile phone and web applications, as well as being offered to a broad range of clients within planning, transport, telecommunication and energy distribution. COWI is also an authorised reseller of this data.
