Mobility and traffic plan for Viborg Municipality

To increase the traffic safety and mobility in the city, COWI has prepared a new integrated mobility and traffic plan for the entire Viborg Municipality.

Through active involvement of citizens and ongoing dialogue between Viborg Municipality and COWI, a plan was tailored to meet the requirements, covering all traffic aspects. It treats both soft issues such as citizen behaviour and environmental concerns, and a broad project catalogue of suggested solutions.

Among other things, Viborg Municipality's mobility and traffic plan touches upon the current challenges of vehicular traffic and provides new, optimised suggestions for solving them.

In terms of bicycle traffic, the plan looks into the possibility of building on the bicycle path infrastructure of "Den Midtjyske Cykelstjerne" in order to boost cycling and to promote Viborg as a destination for bicycle tourism.

All analyses and solutions are integrated in a digital plan.
