Are you a fire protection and security systems specialist looking to develop robust technical solutions within one of Denmark’s largest electrical engineering teams in Buildings and Industry? Do you thrive on thoughtful building design, reliable systems and multidisciplinary collaboration across a diverse project portfolio? If so, we would like to hear from you.

Create the solutions that enable a better tomorrow
We are seeking a Senior Security and Fire Specialist to strengthen our expertise in security and fire protection systems for complex projects that support essential societal functions. You will join COWI’s Buildings and Industry division, where approximately 500 specialists work with clients on some of the most significant projects in Denmark and internationally.

You will be part of an international network of specialists, collaborating closely with colleagues across disciplines and countries. With a primary focus on fire protection and security systems, you will play a key technical role in both your own assignments and larger multidisciplinary projects. Sustainability and digital development are priorities at COWI, and an interest in integrating these perspectives into your work would be an advantage.

We welcome candidates from a range of professional backgrounds. As a large electrical engineering discipline within Buildings and Industry, we bring together diverse skills and experience, united by a commitment to collaboration, integrity and a positive working environment. You may have a qualification in electrical installation, electrical engineering, marine and technical engineering, or a related field.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Working with fire protection and security systems, including ABA, ABDL, AVA, ABV, ADK, AIA and TVO
  • Preparing project documentation throughout all phases of major construction projects
  • Providing technical consultancy, design, specifications and tender documentation for security and fire protection systems
  • Undertaking project follow-up, site supervision and commissioning of security and fire protection systems
  • Developing and sharing best practice, exchanging knowledge and maintaining up-to-date technical expertise within the discipline

Your skills. Our team. Together, we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

You will also bring

  • In-depth knowledge of security and fire protection systems, gained through practical experience, formal education or a combination of both; your specific educational background is not a determining factor
  • The ability to communicate clearly, precisely and unambiguously in both written and spoken English and Danish
  • Recent, relevant experience with security and fire protection systems
  • Ideally, more than 10 years of experience providing consultancy on security and fire protection systems
  • Knowledge of CER and NIS2 would be an advantage
  • The ability to obtain security clearance to at least HEM (SECRET) level
