Do you want to help deliver high-voltage cable projects? Can you take the technical lead from detailed design through procurement, construction and handover? And do you bring an electrical background and experience with high-voltage installations? Then join COWI and put your expertise to work on Energinet’s projects.

Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow

As our project portfolio grows, so does the need for Technical Leads to support the delivery of high-voltage cable installations. We are looking for a Technical Lead to join COWI and work as a Consultant on Energinet’s projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Compose of concept design, cost estimates, project program timelines etc.
  • Develop detailed designs for cable routes, horizontal directional drilling solutions between two or more substations in collaboration with other disciplines in respect to environmental- landowner issues in the project organisation.
  • Perform cable ampacity design and electrical studies with standard software applications
  • Develop technical requirements for procurement of supply/installation contracts followed up by tender evaluation and contract negotiations
  • Participate in external meetings and manage contact with various stakeholders.
  • Contribute to substation projects to ensure that cable installations can be routed to the relevant bays.
  • Drive technical project delivery and facilitate construction meetings on site.
  • Coordinate factory & site testing, quality assurance documentation and handover.

Your primary workplace for the assignment will be at one of Energinet’s offices in Erritsø or Ballerup. When the tasks allow, you will be able to carry out parts of the work remotely or from other locations. Travel in connection with the projects will also be part of the role.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

You take a proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented approach to your work and are comfortable managing several tasks at the same time.

On top of that, you will have:

  • An electrical background, for example as an electrical engineer, Installatør or maskinmester.
  • Experience with the establishment of high-voltage installations.
  • Relevant experience in driving projects forward.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.
