Meet Bjarne

With more than three decades of expertise from electric power engineering, hydropower production and grid development, Bjarne has been deeply involved in the development of the Norwegian hydropower and grid industry. 

His mastery of technical systems spans transformers, generators, turbines, control and protection systems, and in-depth knowledge of power system operations and market mechanisms. As a prior member of the committee that developed the roadmap for digitalizing the Norwegian power grid and in additional introducing smart substations, he has played a significant role in strengthen the power grid to support the green transition.   

His background includes responsibility for system integration and electromechanical equipment requirements, merging deep component insight with comprehensive systems understanding. Bjarne's capacity to foresee challenges in grid connection, environmental impacts and system solutions for both power producers and power consumers positions him to contribute with technical assessments that prioritize reliable, scalable, and sustainable energy systems.
