Meet Raimonda

The 3D modelling nerd

“BIM is like a massive game of LEGO!”

Raimonda Kišonienė

A 3D modelling nerd with a love of old cathedrals

Have you ever stepped into an old building and thought: “wow, how did they build this?!”. To Raimonda Kišonienė it happens regularly when she visits cathedrals and churches around the world. As a structural engineer with a big love of BIM (building information modelling), she enjoys making 3D buildings and being able to explore them virtually before they come to life.

To Raimonda, BIM is like a massive game of LEGO, where every piece contains vital information, and where every gap needs to be filled out precisely. With her work, Raimonda hopes that she can one day show her grandchildren the buildings she has worked on and say: “I designed this one!”.

INGENØRD [enɕəˈnɶɐ̯ˀd]: An honorary title for people who enjoy immersing themselves in professional or personal passions, a trait that can generate a never-ending train of thought or result in constant attempts to discover connections and solve problems – which often leads to heated conversations with other 'ingenørds'. Often, but not necessarily, they have a degree in engineering.
