COWI and Arkitema has been awarded first place in DSB’s tender for a four-year framework agreement on total consultancy services and will be teaming up with DSB to make sure every station feels welcoming, efficient and safe.
As the principal mobility provider for all of Denmark, DSB’s objective is to give passengers a safe, simple and reliable journey. This is at the core of the task, where we will seek to elevate the quality of the structures and facilities that underpin the passenger experience and ensure operational continuity.
The framework agreement thus supports DBS's station strategy, which aims to ensure safe and attractive stations with good connections to the local area.
“Stations are very important for the overall train journey, so it is important that passengers encounter stations that are pleasant to spend time in. That is why we are currently developing and renovating a large number of stations based on a holistic view of passenger needs.”
Lars Gøtke , Deputy Director of DSB Ejendomme.
The framework agreement thus supports DBS's station strategy, which aims to ensure safe and attractive stations with good connections to the local area.
Through close collaboration and co-creation, we look forward to combining DSB’s insights and experiences with our knowledge of railways, construction, civil engineering, architecture, design and human behavior. Over the coming years, we look forward to developing this partnership and applying our collective knowledge to create exemplary stations that provide a positive and safe experience for the passengers.
COWI and Arkitema will handle renovations, projects within protected buildings and new construction, as well as collaboration with DSB on developing stations and station environments.
“We look forward to delivering well-developed and buildable projects through a close and trusting collaboration with DSB to the benefit of all passengers. Our ambition is that all projects awarded to COWI and Arkitema will provide long-lasting quality improvements with a particular focus on the passengers’ positive travel experience.”
