New Executive Vice President of COWI in Denmark

After an interim period in the role, Sidsel Stabell Hoppe has been permanently appointed Executive Vice President of Business Line Denmark. 

In June, Sidsel took on the interim leadership of Business Line Denmark after several years in senior leadership roles at COWI. Her permanent appointment provides continuity in the leadership of COWI’s largest business line and builds on the direction she has set in recent months. 

The appointment follows an extensive recruitment process, including tests, interviews and benchmarking against external candidates.

My focus is on regaining the momentum in Denmark – getting closer to our customers, delivering consistently on our projects and making use of all the expertise we have across COWI to drive growth and improved results,” says Sidsel Stabell Hoppe. 

As Executive Vice President, Sidsel will be accountable for COWI’s activities in Denmark. Her priorities will include strengthening customer relations and project delivery, developing collaboration across the business, and pursuing opportunities for profitable growth both in Denmark and by following key accounts internationally. She will continue as a member of COWI’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting to Group CEO Jens Højgaard Christoffersen.

Sidsel has been with COWI since 2007 and has broad leadership experience from both Denmark and abroad. Before joining COWI, she worked in Australia for several years. At COWI, she has held senior leadership positions within tunnels, transportation and major infrastructure. Knud René Bjernemose continues as interim leader of the Heavy Civil executing unit in Business Line Denmark.
