The client is a publicly list company within operation of large infrastructure facilities. The client is developing af large new additional building expanding their infrastructure facilities and capacity. The client aims to develop a sustainable building the high standards regarding energy efficiency and indoor environmental comfort.
COWI assisted the client in screening and evaluation of possibilities, obstacles and costs regarding the integration of EU Taxonomy technical screening criteria in the late design stages. COWI also assessed the differences in the screening results between economical activities, as more than one activity was applicable to the client and the project. This screening was performed on the basis of existing and expected project documentation e.g. energy calculations, material and product specifications, BIM models and bill of quantities, EIAs in building permits etc.
The results were then presented together with actions needed to close any gaps identified.
