Human rights policy

We are committed to addressing pressing environmental, social, and governance issues, both in the services we provide to our customers, but also as a continuous effort through our behaviour and the actions we are taking as individuals and as a company.

An integral part of this commitment is to ensure respect human rights throughout our operations.

Thus, we have adopted a Human rights policy providing our employees and other stakeholders an overview of our priorities and accountability as well as an insight in how we implement our commitment in alignment with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).

We recognise the significance and challenge associated with minimising negative impacts on human rights in a complex organization like ours, operating in many different geographies.

With our Human rights policy we have processes in place to ensure regular due diligence to assess potential adverse impacts on human rights caused or contributed to by our own operations.

In our Code of Conduct for Business Relationships we have set out our expectations for our business relationships to also meet their responsibility to respect human rights in alignment with the UNGPs. You can read our Code of Conduct for Business Relationships here.

Our Human rights policy is adopted by the Board of Directors of COWI Holding A/S and applies to all companies in the COWI Group.

UK modern slavery statement

We recognize that modern slavery and human trafficking are serious global issues, potentially affecting any business, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our operations and supply chains are free from any form of such exploitation.

Due to the nature of our business, we estimate that we have a low risk of benefitting from modern slavery and human trafficking in our own operations.

We re-assess this risk regularly as part of our human rights due diligence.

In our Code of Conduct for Business Relationships we have set out or expectations for our business relationships to establish and maintain the same due diligence processes.

Our UK modern slavery statement is published pursuant to the requirements under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
